Phhhhheeeeeew. I've got some catching up to do. 2,741 messages in my inbox, and 34 notes. Which could be a lot worse, considering, but I swear I cleaned it all up last time I logged in. :/

Anywho. I apologize for my long absence. Work and school have been sucking me dry with very little time for stock, not to mention a particular lack of inspiration. I'm still lacking on the inspiration/costume side, but hopefully that will get better with time. For now, does anyone have any suggestions on good places to find costumes? Particularly online or in the Salt Lake City area?

The most important thing I should bring up (shame for me not!) I've recently purchased/been gifted a speedlight external flash and a studio light kit that included 2 lights and 2 umbrellas. And all of them are absolutely fantastic. One of the lights blew a fuse within its first two minutes of running yesterday, but I was able to take it in and get it replaced today, so all is well in the world. I'm still using sheets hung on the wall (working on getting a backdrop hanger, but damn, ladies and gents, there's hardly a piece of photographic equipment under $200! Even the poles to hang a backdrop on are in the $120-$170 range!), but at least it's much better lit than it used to be.

So tonight I dug through my closet, put together a few costumes, and did some camera lovin' to show you folks what these lights can do. Hope you enjoy.
